Lash Care
When applying eyelash extension, MyLash therapist is trained to look after your adult lash to attach a synthetic lash. These lashes are strong enough to bond with the extension; therefore it would not cause your own lash to falls out. Remember that your natural lash have their own life cycle of falling and growing. When the lash reaches the falling stage, it will eventually falls out as well.
After 1-2 weeks of your initial lash extension, some of your natural lash will have reached the end of the hair cycle and shed naturally. You will start seeing little gap where the old lashes are fallen, with the new bay hair is coming through. At this time, you can choose to do a touch up, which is refilling the gap in between the lashes to remain the fuller look.
We recommend getting a touch up within 2 weeks and maximum of 3 weeks from initial lash extension. Touch up can take from 45mins to 90mins depending of the current state of the remaining lash. A good sign of when do you need a touch up is when the current lash remains 50% or less.
We do provide 4 types of eyelash extension with 4 different lash materials.
- Single eyelash extension – ratio is 1:1 to attach 1 synthetic lash to 1 natural lash. This type of extension creates the most natural result. (Closest to original lash look) Lash type can choose between silk, black magic and magic soft. Thickness available ranging 0.10mm to 0.20mm. If you have very little and sparse lashes, your natural lash couldn’t support the thick lashes.
- Hybrid – combination of single lash and Russian Volume lash. It creates denser look than single lash extension, and can close the gap between lashes. Thickness for Hybrid is 0.15 (single lash) and 0.07mm (Russian volume lash). If you are looking something more noticeable and not too natural, choose this!
- Russian Volume – Russian Volume extensions are the newest trend in the industry. Volume lashes up to a ratio of 6:1 (6 lashes attached to 1 natural lash). However, thicknesses range from 0.05 to 0.10. This weight is so much less than the single version; therefore you will not feel any excess weight. In fact, most times the weight Russian Volume extensions will weigh less than one single extension. Go for this if you are looking for a volumes look yet fluffy for your eyes.
- Kim K – Most trending style of eyelash extension. Is a set of Russian Volume lash done using a specific mapping to create wispy and uneven lash line. A perfect lash styling for special occasion and events.
*Tips: For those with little and sparse lash, Russian Volume can be your best choice*

Eyebrow Care
Eyebrow embroidery is a procedure of inserting pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, usually performed by using a hand tool with ultra fine needles and feather stroke technique. Each “hair” is gently etched into the skin, to produce the appearance of fuller eyebrows or to enhance the natural features of the eyebrows.
At MyLash™, we provide 5 types of eyebrow techniques:
- Eyebrow Embroidery – The eyebrow embroidery technique that is used to create defined eyebrows that fully filled in with single base colouring effect that resembles an eyebrow pencil drawn
- Classic Brow ((3D single stroke brow) – A little incision on eyebrows which will be filled with pigment to create super fine individual hair-like strokes for a natural & realistic finish
- Misty Brow (Powdered brow) – Use an electric hand tool or manual tool to create micro dots of pigment, ranging from light to a darker tone with powdered stardust shadow effect. Create a soft and natural powdered gradient look.
- D Brow (4D-6D stroke brow) – Fine hair-like strokes mimic the direction of your natural hairs brows growth and pattern. Create the desired fullness, more natural and more defined set of brows.
- Misty D Brow (Powdered+ 4D-6D Stroke) – Misty D Brow is essentially a combination of the D Brow and Misty Brow techniques, creating a natural gradient soft look. In addition to creating hair-like strokes, also drawn in dots between the lines that leads to a fuller brows with more density.
For the first eyebrow embroidery session, it takes 2 – 2.5 hours. During this session, MyLash™ Eyebrow Artist will discuss with the customer on the shape, style and colour being used for the eyebrow, and the embroidery procedure will start only when the customer agrees on the selection.
For touch up sessions, (usually between 4 weeks to 6 weeks after the first session), it akes approximately 2 hours to complete.
As eyebrow embroidery is semi permanent in nature and the pigments will fade over time, a touch up session after 4 weeks – 8 weeks is necessary. MyLash™ eyebrow embroidery service includes 1 (one) complementary touch up service within 2 months (approximately 8 weeks) after the first embroidery. As everyone heals differently and outcome is vary, this touch up session allows adjustments to be made such as pigments to be added and brow thickness can be adjusted, to achieve a more refined brow appearance.
Touch up sessions should not be done earlier than 4 weeks after the initial session as pigment color has not fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as the tissue requires time to completely heal.
Eyebrow embroidery is a semi-permanent procedure and the pigments will fade over time. It is typically lasts 1-3 years, depending of the following factors:
- Skin Type (Oily skin generally fade faster)
- Daily Skin Routine (Retin A / Glycolic Acid products will increase skin cell renewal rate and thus shorten the life eyebrow embroidery)
- Sun Exposure (More sun exposure / tan skin will tend to lighten eyebrow pigments)
- Age (Youth / Mature)
- Pigments Colors Used (lighter colours fade faster)
At MyLash™, our eyebrow artist will do all we can to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. Before the embroidery process begins, a topical anesthetic is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic during the procedure. Some customers may feel a slight discomfort, but it’s relatively pain free for most.
(If you have your appointment during your menstrual cycle, the pain level could be intensified)

The healing process will take about 7 -14 days, depending on your skin sensitivity. (Some might take more than 14 days to 40 days to completely heal)
After the eyebrow embroidery, you will be experiencing the followings in varying degree:
- Mild swelling
- Slight redness
- Dryness and itchiness
- Scabbing and peeling
- Light bruising
- Soft and tender
During the first 1-2 days after your eyebrow embroidery, your eyebrow will appear noticeably vibrant and darker, and the area will be soft and tender. This is normal and is part of the healing process. In the majority of cases, the underlying skin will continue to be slightly red, causing the eyebrow to continue to look darker. Usually, on the 3rd day onwards, dryness and itchiness will set in accompanied by scabbing. Please do not pick off any scab and refrain from touching the area. The eyebrow will lighten in colour as it heals. Usually within the first 7-14 days, the brow will lose 25% in thickness and the colour will fade between 30-50%. Degree of fading depends on the depth of micro-pigments implanted, skin type and amount of sunlight exposure. Once scabbing stops, the eyebrow will appear softer and natural-looking. As the brow area heals, the colour will be lightened and sometimes seems to disappear in places. This is normal as all can be addressed in touch up appointments. Colour will finally settle in around 1-2 months.
Please note that final results can not be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates.
Careful aftercare is very important for producing a beautiful and lasting result
- Keep the treated brow area dry for 24 hours
- Do not get your brow area wet during the healing process in 5 -7 days
- When showering, you may use facial wipes to clean your face. Alternatively, you can use Tegaderm Film (can be purchased in pharmacy) to prevent eyebrows from touching water. Use a clean tissue or facial wipe to dab your brows until dry if it gets wet
- Do not scrub, rub or pick at the epithelial crust that forms when your eyebrows skin peels. Allow it to flake off by itself. If it is removed before it is ready the pigment underneath it can be pulled out
- Do not visit a sauna, go swimming or sun tanning in 2 weeks or until the area is completely healed
- Do not heavy workouts that lead to excessive sweating in 1 week
- Do not apply makeup or skin care products on the brow area in 1 week
- Do not use any Retin-A or Glycolic Acids in the brow area during or after healing
- Do Not dye or tweeze eyebrows for 1 week
- Apply a light layer of healing cream to your brows twice a day for at least 5-7 days
- After the procedure is completely healed, you may go back to your regular cleansing and makeup routine
- Use sunblock after the procedure area is healed to protect from sun fading
Currently, there are no studies on the effects of pigments used in eyebrow embroidery and the chemicals that it contains affecting the fetus. However, as a precaution to avoid any complications, we do not perform eyebrow embroidery on pregnant women.
As with all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend customers to do research and understand the procedure when making their decisions. Our Eyebrow Artists will do their utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the customers’ satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance. However, we all must understand and realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch up session. Pigment discoloration and color correction can also be fixed during the touch up session. Eyebrow embroidery will eventually fade away if no additional touch ups are done.
